How should I properly clean and maintain my Dalstrong knives?

Maintaining your knives is key to keep them in optimal condition. Using a soft sponge and dish soap, scrub the blade slowly. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth or a paper towel. After drying, return the knife to it’s sheath or drawer.

Are these knives dishwasher safe?

Like any kitchen knife made from quality steel, it is not recommended to place your knife in the dishwasher. Heavy jet streams, flying debris and harsh chemicals can damage your knife blade.

How often do I need to sharpen my knives? Can my knives be sharpened at home?

Depending on your usage, you will have to hone and sharpen the blade edges periodically. A honing steel can be used regularly to realign your edge before use. Sharpening with a whetstone is strongly advised to maintain the edge of your knife blade.
