The entire metal body is crafted with 6063 aluminum that is processed through CNC machined, polished, sandblasted, and undergoes 24 more manufacturing stages to make this solid metal piece of art that is the Q3 Max. To further fine-tune your typing experience, we designed our unique Keychron spherical-angle (KSA profile) double-shot keycap set with premium non-backlight shine through PBT material, that is oil-resistant and durable for long-term use.
South-facing RGB
The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.
Big Battery
With a 4000 mAh built-in battery, the Q3 Max offers up to 100 hours (at lowest brightness) steady and stable wireless typing performance even through its full metal body.
Hot-swappable
You can hot-swap every switch on the Q3 Max with almost all of the 3pin and 5pin MX style mechanical switches on the market (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.) without soldering required. The pre-lubed Gateron Jupiter mechanical switches come with an optimized mold with more precise positioning, and less wobbliness will improve your fingertip feel. The Gateron switch is durable enough and up to 50 million keystroke lifespan.
Program Each Key and Macro with Keychron Web App
Simply connect the Q3 Max to your device with a cable, open the Keychron Launcher web app, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key on any system (macOS, Windows, or Linux) for a fluid workflow. Or create your keymap with open-sourced QMK firmware.
We designed every component to be able to assemble easily so you can customize and adjust each component with ease to create your ultimate typing experience. Plus our innovative double-gasket design, added silicone pads inside that significantly reduce the sound resonance and noise between the metals.
